This year’s haunted celebration features new eerie games and activities, a bewitching performance by local legends The Grateful Dads, the spellbinding Wizarding World for all Harry Potter fans, inflatables that will make your skin crawl, deliciously creepy culinary treats, surprise-filled Tombola Jars, a Box Maze packed with hair-raising jump scares, and a Silent Auction where you can claim your ghostly prizes long after the witching hour. How do i get to Nicholson Street Public School Balmain East?
Bus number 442 from QVB Sydney to Balmain East Ferry Wharf run a regular service on the weekends. To check the 442 bus timetable visit Transport NSW. Ferries also directly run to Balmain East Ferry Wharf, followed by a five minute walk up to the school, visit Transport NSW to check the ferry services available. There is limited timed on-street parking available near the event. There is no light rail or train service directly to Balmain East.
WHAT ARE TOKENS?
Tokens are used pay for attractions, games, food and drink on the day of the event. No cash is accepted at the event. You may purchase tokens on the day at the Token Booth located near the entrance of the festival or pre-purchase them at a discounted price up until the day before the event here. To enjoy the fun, most activities are 2-4 tokens. For example:

CAN TOKENS BE PURCHASED ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT?
Yes. Tokens will be available to purchase at full price on the day of The Nicho Halloween Festival.
WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF PURCHASING TOKENS BEFORE THE EVENT?
If you choose to pre-purchase your tokens to redeem at the event, you can save 15% on the full price of the tokens. There are four packs to choose from starting from a pack of 25 tokens. Grab your tokens now!
HOW DO I COLLECT PRE-PURCHASED TOKENS?
Pre-purchased tokens will be available for collection at the festival on 26th October from the Token Booth located near the entrance of the festival on the day. Please bring along your emailed ticket as proof of purchase. Refunds are only available if the festival is cancelled. Tickets are not redeemable for cash.
DOES THE FESTIVAL ACCEPT CASH ON THE DAY?
No. The Nicho Halloween Festival accepts credit/debit cards only on the day of the event. You may use this to purchase tokens which can be used to redeem games and attractions entry, food and drinks. EFTPOS machines are available to make purchases on the day at the Token Booth, food and drink stands, as well as the vintage clothes market.
IS THE VENUE EASILY ACCESSIBLE?
Yes. The festival grounds are mostly flat with some ramp access. The inflatables, Dunk Tank and Spooky Springs Mini Golf located at the back of the festival is less accessible with only stairs connecting the two areas and some slopped grass areas heading down to this section. Food and drink are available in the main area of the grounds which are flat or slightly ramped and have no stairs. The festival does have fully accessible bathroom facilities. All visitors to the festival can grab a map of festival attractions and amenities on the day.
HOW WILL I KNOW THE FESTIVAL IS CANCELLED DUE TO BAD WEATHER?
The Nicho Halloween Festival is an all-weather event and has run every year (except Covid) for 35 years. In the unlikely event of cancellation we will post a message here and on the official school Facebook page.
